CYA Conference Winner 2017 — Young Adult Manuscript — Fire

Georgina Ballantine spends her days as a professional editor and author, working her magic on words and whimsy.

When not chasing after her three spirited preteens, a paranoid dog and two vampire cats, she hides in her cupboard under the stairs, writing mythological fantasy and edgy science fiction for adults and children.

Georgina convenes the Aspiring Writers Mentorship Program for CBCA NSW and runs the SIRIUS Speculative Fiction Writers Group at the NSW Writer’s Centre. She is a member of SCBWI and lives in Sydney, Australia.

Georgina holds a BA Honours in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin) and BSc in Environmental Science and Botany. She has extensive experience in editing and project management.
